The entire process for making aerogels involving your supercritical dryer takes about 3 days. (3 days?!) Most of the time your gel is in the supercritical dryer, it is not being supercritically dried. Rather, it is soaking in liquid CO2 to exchange the pore fluid inside the gel with liquid CO2.
